About Montana Barnwood
Montana Barnwood is a no nonsense company, within a niche market, and our clients truly appreciate that about us. Being the type of business that we wanted to see in the world, was extremely important to us, so that’s how we choose to operate. From our humble beginnings in a greenhouse turned shop space, we’ve been as transparent as our walls.
We keep things simple and straight forward; doing one thing, and doing it to the best of our ability. This keeps us focused and allows the satisfaction of our customers to be the measurement of our success.
At Montana Barnwood, what you see, is what you get.
Our simple no frills policy, allows our clients to procure some of the best reclaimed lumber that Montana has to offer, at a fair price and within a reasonable time frame. Together our transaction allows history to live on, and at the end of the day, we’ve both done our part to make a difference.
The way we see it is this: if you’re interested in materials, that means you’re a “maker” and we respect that, along with your time. The last thing we want to do is tie up your day with stories of how our materials came from a cabin that Jessie James once occupied, or the fence rail that you’re interested in was once chewed on by a Mare that belonged to “Billy the Kid.” Oh, we could make it up if you’d like, but we prefer the material to find it’s new story in its new life.
If you want complicated, we’re probably not your outfit. If you want a quality selection of gorgeous historical timber to add to your next project, you might want to lock us in as your “go to” for reclaimed lumber. Our goal is to provide quality materials, at fair prices, with a reasonable turnaround, period.
The only complex thing you’re going to find here at “Montana Barnwood” will be with our sister company “Big Sky Maker” (dot com.) Now THIS will be the place where materials collide and art is derived! Stay Tuned, you won’t want to miss it!
Building Materials have passed through my hands for a few decades now, and for the most part I’ve colored inside the lines with them. I learned how to use them in their most common applications. I decided it’s time to play! Oh, “Montana Barnwood” my other business, will still supply you with the best reclaimed lumber you can find. You can count on that! But, in between processing huge orders of shiplap, I will be making some of the most mild to wild creations I can come up with. Iron gates with barnwood slats, live edge epoxy tables, farmhouse tables, custom signs made on a CNC machine, upcycled furniture…
